Rett Coen

Rett Coen is a solo artist who brings a quirky mix of indie rock licks blended with catchy vocal hooks and jazz inspired harmonic ooze. Inspired by artists ranging from Incubus, Mutemath, and Bombay Bicycle Club all the way to Maggie Rogers, St. Vincent, and Earth, Wind & Fire. A multi-instrumentalist hailing from downtown Toronto, Coen has been playing in the scene for over a decade now. He has played and recorded with local acts Futures Past, The Homecoming, Tiffany in Fashion, and Crisis CTRL Club; sharing the stage with artists such as Big Sugar, John Corabi, Hedley, and many more. Rett Coen is currently a student at the Harris Institute for the Arts to improve his music business and production expertise.

“At the age of 13 I was singing old Disney classics and having a ball doing it. My friend and classmate suggested I join the choir and so I gave it a go. That’s where I met Mr. Vaughan, who sent me on a discovery of everything music. Fast-forward to now and after two decades of playing for others I think it’s high time I play for myself.”

Rett Coen is currently working on his debut release entitled the “Kingston Road Movie Show."
